YOUTH REPORT SUNDAY 27TH APRIL 2008.

Under 18’s to Under 15’s Sections.

 

Under 16’s Div. 1.

                             Kyle Smith scored twice for Spondon Rovers as they beat Mickleover 95 by 5-0 lifting the title as champions of division 1 in the final game of the season. Jack Ford, Lewis Stone and Mark Raisin adding a goal each for Rovers, who beat Toton Tigers in their mid week fixture by a narrow 3-2 margin. Sam Collins scored twice for Cavaliers could have taken second place in the table with a positive result against Allestree Jnrs. Unfortunately Allestree had other ideas of how the game should go, as they ran out 5-3 winners leaving Cavaliers in third place on goal difference behind Heanor Jnrs. who take the runners up spot. Sam Leather scored twice for Allestree plus goals from Dean Oliver, Ryan Burton and James Brandon.

Belper Town Jnrs. drew 2-2 with Toton Tigers who could have taken the runners up spot if they had produce a win from their last game. Tigers lead 2-1 at half time with goals from Luke Smithson and Josh Stevenson, but Belper’s Camerom Martin and Joe pIckering scored to deny Tigers the points.

 

Under 16’s Div. 2.

                             Ladywood Jnrs. slipped to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Cobra Oakwood in their final game of the season, but take the championship on goal difference from local rivals Ilkeston Town. Karl Birkinshaw scored twice for Cobra with Adam Walsh scoring for Ladywood. Mickleover Sports Jnrs. end their season with a 4-1 win against Ashbourne Aztecs, finishing third in the table. Josh Astle scored twice for Sports, plus a goal each from James Rowley and Scott Smedley. Richard Coates on target for Aztecs.

 

Under 16’s Div. 3.

                             Jamie Gittins and Lawrence Bond score two goals each as ADASC beat Allestree jnr. Raiders in their final game by 4-2,  confirming them as champions of the division. Adam Ruiz and Will Heron scoring for Allestree. GAD Khalsa beat Hilton Harriers 6-3 in their final game of the season. Khalsa’s Nahmaan Jabbar and Brandon Walsh scored two goals each, plus goals from Luke Riley and Ross Naylor. Harriers goals came from Sam Nethercote, Phil Hile and Josh Robinson. Despite losing their last game of the season Harriers take the runners up spot. Belper Sports completed their season with a 5-2 win against Mickleover Jubilee. Tim Fry scored twice for Belper plus goals from Tom Chandler, Sam Thornley, and Jonny Kenworthy. Adam Walker and Michael Dickens scoring for Jubilee.

 

Under 15’s Div. 1.

                             Sam Clayton scored for Tansley Jnrs. but his team lost by 2-1 to Long Eaton Utd. in their final fixture. Elliott King scored for Long Eaton plus an own goal. Ilkeston Town Jnrs. won their final game beating Mickleover Sports Utd.
